Binduja Upadhyay is a prominent social reformer and activist from Odisha, known for her relentless efforts to promote social justice, women’s rights, and equality. Born in in Bhubaneswar, she grew up in a humble family.  Despite her modest beginnings, Binduja was determined to make a difference in her community and beyond. Her work has left a lasting impact on the lives of marginalized groups, including women, Dalits, and the LGBTQ+ community.  Binduja’s upbringing in Bhubaneswar instilled in her a strong sense of empathy and social responsibility. She was deeply affected by the inequalities she witnessed in her surroundings, which motivated her to pursue education as a means to empower herself and others. Her passion for learning and advocacy led her to establish NGO coaching centers in slums and villages, providing educational opportunities to children and women who were otherwise denied access to schooling. 

Binduja Upadhyay is a passionate social reformer committed to justice and equality. Her work as an advocate for women’s rights has been instrumental in high-profile cases like Nirbhaya, Ruchika Mohanty (2022), and Bebina (2011).
